Can I pray you don’t get that job | © Fola Daniel Adelesi

Now that sounds like I don’t wish you well. You are probably wondering why I will want to pray so you don’t get that job you have been praying for. You definite don’t want to think about why I would wish you don’t get a desired job. While you think that the job may be good for you, I am thinking about the several other things that the job may be taking away from you.
Before now, people have always thought that it is a great thing to get a degree and get a good job. I really think it is still a great thing but for some people. it is a great thing for some people to get those jobs and rise to the peak of their career but for some others it is not.
While you are struggling to get that job, it may be that your predestination is to be the creator of the job or there is something more valuable that you have but are not seeing. There are those who have the solutions that their environments need but they can’t see that they have the solution in them. They are only seeing the problems around and how they are a victim of that problem instead being a solution provider.
There are so many people who have not gotten jobs and at the end of the day it turned out it was for their good. If you have not gotten a job and you have been at it for years then I want you to look on the other side and see how much more you can get by considering job creating rather than sticking with job search endlessly.
When you meet with some people today and you ask them what jobs they are doing, they will almost say I am a job seeker. In other words, my current job is job seeking. Many people spend productive hours seeking jobs that may never come and they even find opportunities but ignore them just because of the job they are waiting for.
Have you realized that when you want to network with people, it is easier for them to spend time talking to people who are sharing ideas than to talk to those who are asking for favours like getting a job placement? People want to listen to you when you talk like someone who has something to offer and not when you always talk like someone who is hoping for something.
I can imagine that you have probably gone to several interviews and you have been turned down. Some of them may say you are not good enough and others may think you are good but for one reason or the other they just can’t take you. let me remind you that whatever they say about you is their opinion and that should not define who you are.
You can’t afford to be limited just because they say what they think about you. Let them say what they think and you go ahead to prove them wrong. Sometimes your interview might turn out so poor that the interviewers may say you are not employable! Well, if they say you are not employable just prove to them that they are right in the sense that the only reason you are not employable is because they cannot afford to pay you.
You are too valuable for them. Let them see you some months or years down the line and see that they were wrong about thinking you are not employable. Showing them how you have gone ahead to start a business and are now employing people.
Think again about those jobs you are desperate for. I think you might be worth far more than you are asking for and you need to consider using the great stuff on the inside of you rather than waiting for a job. You are far too loaded to absolutely depend on a job that may or may not come.
